For starters, you’ll need to sign up to one of their three different plans. Fortunately, the two paid plans have a 7-day free trial. You will need an Internet connection with a speed of at least 2.5 Mbps, though we advise having a faster connection if you have multiple devices connected and streaming all at once. Once that’s established, all you need is a compatible device to stream your favorite content on. Xfinity and Cox customers be able to stream Peacock TV on a compatible Xfinity or Cox set-top box.

What features come with Peacock TV?

When setting up an account with Peacock TV, you will not be required to register your device with the service. Nor will you be limited to the number of devices your account can use when streaming. In addition, you can stream on up to three devices from one account simultaneously. Currently, you can setup parental controls that can be managed by a PIN. Another feature included with the streaming service is the ability to download on a mobile device for offline viewing. However, this is reserved for the Premium Plus tier.

Can I watch Peacock TV without cable?

When Peacock TV first launched in April 2020, it was only available to Comcast Xfinity customers until July 2020 when it was rolled out to the rest of the US. Some things to consider now that it’s fully launched, is its limited live programming for its free tier. At the moment you can watch live sports and news, but any NBC broadcast shows launching their first season will have next day access. Any returning NBC broadcast series will have next week access. Also, Xfinity and Cox cable customers are offered a $5 discount on the premium tiers. Take these into consideration if you’re thinking about cutting cable.
