Is Disney+ The Right Streaming Service for You?

Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company’s premium subscription-based streaming video service. It includes a vast catalog of content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, including the Mandolarian, as well as National Geographic content. How much does Disney+ cost?

Currently, Disney+ is offered in two packages which are set to undergo a price increase starting on March 26, 2021.

• The Disney+ only package currently costs $6.99 a month or $69.99 for the full year.  This price will be increased by $1 in March 2021 to cost $7.99 a month or $79.99 for the full year.
• The Disney Bundle which included Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ currently costs $12.99 a month.  That price will increase by $1 to $13.99 a month starting in March 2021.  The Disney Bundle included the full version of Disney+ ($6.99/ month), ESPN+ ($5.99/ month), and Hulu’s ad-supported plan ($5.99/month).

What do you get with Disney+?

The content that you get with Disney+ depends on the package you select. 
 
With the Disney+ only package, you get access to the Best of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and The Simpsons. Disney+ continues to create fresh content to keep the platform competitive with the recent releases of Taylor Swift’s Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions and the original product of Hamilton. 
 
With The Disney Bundle, you’ll get full access to the Disney+ portfolio outlined above but you’ll also get access to Hulu’s library and live sports on ESPN+. With the ad-supported version of Hulu, you’ll be able to watch content from popular networks like CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, FX, ESPN, AMC, Crunchyroll, and more.  With ESPN+, you can watch thousands of live sports events as well as archives of sports content including 30 for 30.

What do you need to get Disney+?

As with any streaming service, you’ll need a high-quality Internet service of at least 25 Mbps to access the content on the web and provide enough bandwidth for quality streaming.  In addition, you’ll need a method to watch the content.  With Disney+, you’ll just need to download the app from the App store for your favorite device or platform including TV, computer, mobile devices, game consoles, Roku, and Amazon Firestick.
